Having Bluetooth Stuttering Issues on Windows 10

As of recent, when connecting any pair of bluetooth headphones or devices, I would get stuttering problems where when using bluetooth headphones, the audio would frequently cut in and out randomly, and it would frequently disconnect, even when it was fully charged. And yes, I've tried to fix the issue by disabling audio enhancements, but it hasn't helped at all. Additionally, I've had problems with other bluetooth devices where they would also frequently disconnect. Is there a fix to these problems?

Hey guys i´ve noticed that stuttering only happens if i watch a movie or listen music through a web browser ( Chrome, Edge etc.). Maybe it´s an issue with the browser.

so this is what you can do to get it working but you wont't be able to add any new bluetooth device after doing this(to add new device after changing this you will have to revert back the settings i am going to tell below)

type win+r in search box enter (service.msc)without round brackets.

in services find below services and disable them first then stop it:-

    1-BTDevManager

    2-Bluetooth Audio Gateway Service

    3-Bluetooth Support Service

4-Bluetooth User Support Service_d3ada(this one might be different on your pc/laptop)

After Disabling all this turn airplane mode and then turn it off and connect it to wifi and bluetooth earphones/headphones again hopefully issue will be resolved.

I KNOW this is not a solution but as i use same bluetooth earphones regularly so this is working for me at least now i can use internet and listen to audio at the same time

I have the same issue with the Sony WH-1000XM2 headset . I resolved the issue by changing the selected playback device in the sound settings. For some reason there were two devices listed:

    Headphones (WH-1000XM2 Stereo)

    Headset (WH-1000XM2 Hands-Free AG Audio)

I selected the second one (Headset) and it resolved the skipping problem.

I believe this is a software issue in Windows 10, not a hardware issue. I am running on a top of the line iMac and when I'm on MacOS, my Bluetooth mouse, Bluetooth keyboard, and Bluetooth earphones all run perfectly at the same time. However when I switch to using Windows 10 on Bootcamp, my Bluetooth earphones cut in and out in an unbearable manner.

Disabling my wireless mouse and wireless keyboard lessened the cutting out by 50%, but it still does it. Some of the fixes proposed in this thread I tried had no effect, like switching on and off the Bluetooth services of the device in control panel.

A possible fix may be disabling the wifi adapter as well as disconnecting the Bluetooth mouse and Bluetooth keyboard..

I disabled the wifi adapter and tried my Bluetooth earphones, I only had 5 mins to spare but in those 5 mins I had no cutting out. So this might be a very limited fix.

I'm quite certain this is a software issue within Windows 10 that could be patched.

Hey folks, this seems to be a good place to post a solution for this to a large group of people. Some information on my setup:

    • Lenovo Legion Y530
    • Windows 10 Home, build 1909
    • Headphones - Cowin E7 Pro (upgraded)
    • WiFi/BT Adapter - Realtek 8822BE Wireless LAN 802.11ac PCI-E NIC

So I tried pretty much every solution listed here including the Hands Free Telephony disabling, uninstalling the sound adapter to have windows reinstall, eliminate all enhancements, update all drivers via Device Manager. None of them worked. However, I saw a tip on another forum that suggested uninstalling the network adapter that hosts the BT functionality and having Windows re-discover it and install the newest driver.

Rather than doing that, I figured I would Google the full name of my Realtek adapter and see what comes back. After doing so, I found a link (the 2nd link on front page of Google search results, actually) to driverpack.com and from there, I selected the appropriate driver and let my system do its thing. Admittedly, I was nervous that this application was going to change too many things, but fortunately it automatically creates a restore point and will scan and update all drivers along the way. Note: You will have to decline installation of additional software and pay attention to the suggested changes it proposes.

The whole process took about 10 minutes and after it was complete, my headphones now work perfectly on my Windows 10 system. Based on this, it seems that either my WiFi/BT network adapter driver needed to be updated, or there was a combination of updates required that fixed this. Regardless, it discovered 23 potential driver updates and it fixed my stuttering audio problem.

Here is the link to MY network adapter driver pack...you will need to search for yours specifically:

    https://drp.su/en/devices/wifi/realtek/realtek-8822be-wireless-lan-802-11ac-pci-e-nic?os=windows-10-x64

Hopefully this helps you solve the issue!

    YES THANK YOU!!!!!

I was so glad to see someone having fixed this problem with my exact same laptop!

I didn't use driverpack though... too sketchy for my taste... specially with it's "voice assistant" auto-performing checks and running scripts in the background... but anyway! Turns out that using some other third party driver updater on the web actually fixed the problem.
