Having Bluetooth Stuttering Issues on Windows 10

As of recent, when connecting any pair of bluetooth headphones or devices, I would get stuttering problems where when using bluetooth headphones, the audio would frequently cut in and out randomly, and it would frequently disconnect, even when it was fully charged. And yes, I've tried to fix the issue by disabling audio enhancements, but it hasn't helped at all. Additionally, I've had problems with other bluetooth devices where they would also frequently disconnect. Is there a fix to these problems?

    same headphones, same problem. I get this awkward suttering *only* with windows. 

    Works flawlessly with linux and android.

    Try turning things off until sound is clear then try to figure out why the device is causing the issue.

    Changing to 2.4GHz network did not work for me.

    Hi ToniFlamboni,

    Please run the Bluetooth troubleshooter and see if the issue will persist. Please follow the steps below on how:

    1. Press Windows and I keys to open Settings.
    2. Click on Update & Security.
    3. On the left hand pane, click on Troubleshoot.
    4. Under Find and Fix other problems, click on Bluetooth.
    5. Click on Run the troubleshooter.

    If the troubleshooter was unable to fix the issue, please download and install the latest drivers for your Bluetooth adapter. Please click on this link on how to Update drivers in Windows 10.

    Let us know how it goes.

    Still much audio stuttering.  It's terrible.  I guess if there is no fix, I must used wired headphones on my Windows 10 device.  Very disappointing....

    Based on another commenter's post, I went and purchased an Insignia USB Bluetooth Adapter Dongle and plugged it into one of my USB 3.1 Gen 2 ports, and almost all pops, stutters and garbles are completely gone... in 5 minutes of listening I've had 1 or 2 split-second drop outs, which I'm willing to live with if it means I dont' have to be tethered to my PC via a stupid cable...

    Note: In order to install the dongle as the sole Bluetooth adapter, you have to disable (not un-install) the embedded / on-board version via the Device Manager...

    Hope this helps someone else in my same position...

    01/19/2020:  So I bought recently a brand new CyberPowerPC - Gaming Desktop - AMD Ryzen 7 3700X - 16GB Memory - AMD Radeon RX 580

    • 2TB Hard Drive + 240GB SSD - White

     .. then connected my Bluetooth Harman/Kardon headphones but the audio is so bad, it is stuttering all the time. I have tried everything listed in this thread:

     * running the bluetooth troubleshooter

     * disabling Hands-Free Telephony & Remote Control under Services

     * uninstalling and re-installing the bluetooth driver

     * updating the bluetooth driver

     * disabling audio enhancements, etc etc ...

    but all the above did not help. The audio kept stuttering on my Harman/Kardon bluetooth headphones. Then just to make sure that there's nothing wrong with my Harman/Kardon headphones so I tried my other bluetooth headphone (Bandz Headset) and still the same, constant stuttering.

    Then I read about this post about the Insignia USB Bluetooth Adapter Dongle (thank you so much jrbarker33) and so I bought the Insignia USB Bluetooth Adapter Dongle at Best Buy and plug it in but I have to disable that other on-board bluetooth thingy - my PC says: Intel(R) Wireless Bluetooth(R) so it's been disabled and now my bluetooth Harman/Kardon headphones is working perfectly, no more stuttering, no more choppy sounds.
