Having Bluetooth Stuttering Issues on Windows 10

I have been having stuttering bluetooth headphone issues on all three BT 'phones I have. Interestingly the solution for me was to insta ll a wifi-card! Both my and my wife's Windows PCs didn't need wifi cards but a recent move around meant my wife's PC (DELL) required wifi. Bought a Vbit PCI-e WiFi card from Amazon, (model WIE7625) installed it and discovered it had a BT radio on it.  This claims to be 4.2  Anyway,  all headphones worked as they should - so I bought one for my PC (HP) and same again - wonderful sound.  I have a Behringer 560M for ZOOM et al work with microphone - it works very well. I also have Sony BT headphones for music listening, which sound wonderful now.

I had this problem all the time with all of my Bluetooth devices (Bose Mini speaker, Sony headset, ...).

My Wi-fi connection on my laptop was also having issues when Bluetooth was activated, so I changed the configuration of my wireless access-point that provides the Wi-fi 2,4 Ghz signal:

Previous settings:

• Channel: automatic
• 20+40 Mhz co-existence

NEW settings:

• Channel: 6 (use a Wi-fi analyzer to check what channel you use best)
• 20Mhz only !!

The problem was that Wi-fi 20+40Mhz co-existense uses a larger frequency range, and together with the automatic channel selection it kept a back-up channel in reserve, just in case the current channel is overloaded (for example Channel 6 + 1). This was causing too much interference with the Bluetooth frequency range, which is also between 2,4 and 2,48 Ghz.

Now, when Bluetooth is activated, the Wi-fi speed goes down a little bit (about 20%), but I think you can't avoid this. A speedtest is now showing fast Wi-fi as it should be, and I don't have the Bluetooth stuttering anymore. Only my Bose speaker will sometimes stutter for a few seconds, but that's probably because it has old Bluetooth version installed.

Have tried this solution multiple times. Running the troubleshooter tells me it fixed an issue related to "Bluetooth radio status", and fixes the issue for about 15 seconds, and then the issue persists. Need a new permanent solution. I am using Skullcandy Hesh 3 headphones and have had issues relating to Bluetooth connections for months. Getting new headphones did not fix the issues I am having, so i know it is either my PC or Windows. Need a solution ASAP. Please help me.

Found at MadWebskills and worked perfectly for me!

Step 1: Press the Windows button just beside the Alt and Spacebar buttons.

Step 2: Type "Control Panel" and open Control Panel

**Step 3:**Under"Hardware and Sound" click "View Devices and Printers"

Step 4: Find your device from the list and right click it.

**Step 5:**Click "Properties" then select "Service"

Step 6: From this menu you will see an option called "Hands-free telephony". Untick this.

Step 7: Hit "apply".

Step 8: If your device is connected, now disconnect and reconnect/connect. Device should proceed to run normally.

[Instant fix for me and worked straight away. Computer seems to decide the device is a hands free calling device instead of a headset and incorrectly reads it.] Hope this worked as easily for you too!

I tried these changes with my built-in BT and a BT USB dongle. Same stutter.

I resolved this issue without an stange software tricks!

In more cases it's not a software problem. It's radio interference from motherboard. If you connect usb-bluetooth with help usb extension cable or hub or front connector of the system unit - problebs with stuttering will disappear.

It's actual for apple devices too.

SOLVED! After trying many different possible solutions for days, I read your comment and got a USB extension cable and it solved ALL my stuttering bluetooth audio problems. Thank you very much! You rock, man!
