Having Bluetooth Stuttering Issues on Windows 10

Note 'wire up your wireless devices' is not a 'solution'

Razer Blade Stealth, Intel 9260 AC adapter, Jaybird X2 headset.  I went to Control Panel\Devices and Printers\Right clicked on my Bluetooth headset and clicked Properties.  Went to the Services tab.  The services for it listed were Audio Sink, Handsfree Telephony, Remote Control, Remotely Controllable Device, and Unknown Service.  I played with disabling them one by one.  Finally landed on disabling Handsfree Telephony and Remotely Controllable Device to fully fix my stuttering.  The Vol+ and Vol- still work.  However, holding the center button no longer invokes Cortana, which isn't a show stopper for me.

As of recent, when connecting any pair of bluetooth headphones or devices, I would get stuttering problems where when using bluetooth headphones, the audio would frequently cut in and out randomly, and it would frequently disconnect, even when it was fully charged. And yes, I've tried to fix the issue by disabling audio enhancements, but it hasn't helped at all. Additionally, I've had problems with other bluetooth devices where they would also frequently disconnect. Is there a fix to these problems?

Makesure you have your Bluetooth headphone (Mine is Sony WF XB-700) connected.

Go to taskbar>Sound>Playback Tab> sound settings, You should see two option for your bluetooth. One under Headphones as stereo and another under Headset as Hands-Free AG audio. What you need to do is disable the Headphone option by right clicking on it and makesure you have Headset as is enabled and default. There you go, this should resolve the bluetooth stuttering issue. Please take a note that doing so would degrade the sound quality (all bass feeling are gone sounds like cheap local headphone of 1$) for your Wireless bluetooth.

If anybody have any solution to restore the sound quality would be helpful.

This definitely seems to have fixed it for me. I have an msi ge65 Raider. Did you ever get a permanent solution to this though?

Did the exact same thing as you with my B&O H4 headphones jrbaker33. I first tried screwing around with all the software & driver updates, tried troubleshooting, tried the telephony feature, and nothing worked. Bought a $10 bluetooth dongle on amazon, plugged it into a USB 2.0 port, disabled onboard bluetooth adapter and it worked perfectly without needing to download any drivers or do any sort of install. Plug and play.

Pretty disappointing that a $10 dongle outperforms my $200 ASUS ROG STRIX motherboard & windows 10. I really hope they acknowledge the problem and prioritize addressing this in future releases as I don't see Bluetooth going away anytime soon. Worth mentioning as well that the headphones worked perfectly on my iphone & ipad out of the box, only had issues with the PC/Windows.

Buy a USB bluetooth dongle, and never have to worry about this issue again. Good luck to all of you who happen across this in the future.
