Having Bluetooth Stuttering Issues on Windows 10

The short answer (for me at least), Disconnect WiFi.

The long answer:

I've had this problem for a long time now and searched everywhere and tried everything suggested and the beat skips on...

Many suggested in different forums that Wifi causes Bluetooth problems and many point out Router location could have an effect, so that's another thing to keep in mind.

In my setup, my router is relatively far from the BT speakers (around 15 meters plus wall) so i didn't think that is the issue and just as i was about to give up (AGAIN!!) i decided to check the Wifi connection and disconnected from internet. Tried it for a few songs and then turned on the connection again to check that no-one posted this answer and to write this reply and guess what? Of course the skipping returned.

so hopefully this might help some other frustrated people and by all means, this solution is less then ideal but at least i can now enjoy my speakers again , Offlineof course. This will of course not help in the streaming department...

Microsoft , i appreciate your work but please fix this very long present problem. if phones are able to stay online and in sync my much more powerful and equipped PC should be able to at least offer the same usability.

I am having the same issue. I have tried 3 bluetooth headsets (Plantronics, AudioTechnica and JBL) at this point and all have the same problem. It has something to do with the headset functions of the headphones. When I am just listing to music there are no issues, but the moment I need to get on a call the audio degrades heavily to the point that I cant understand or be understood. Even skype tells me something like "Your audio device is causing poor call quality".

This issue does not happen on my android phone. I have been forced to take all my calls through my cellphone, which is not ideal.

Hey guys, read through all these posts and couldn't find a clear answer for my exact issue but have since found what I hope is a permanent solution:

Pretty sure the issue I had was due to WiFi-Bluetooth interference. Could you guys please try going into Device Manager > Network Adapters > 

Right click your Wirless Network Adapter > Properties > Advanced > Roaming Aggressiveness(Or anything similar, I hear these options vary between adapters) and set it to Lowest from Medium.

Have had no issues since, could be a coincidence but messing with my network adapter settings seems to have done the trick on my end.

Please refer these suggestions, see if they helps you:

1. Run Bluetooth troubleshooter from Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot.
2. Update the Bluetooth driver to latest version.
3. If updating driver doesn't worked, try reinstalling it back. Open Device Manager, right click on the Bluetooth driver, select Uninstall. Then click Action > Scan for hardware changes.
4. Try disable audio enhancements. Right click on sound icon on taskbar, click Sounds > Playback > right click on your speaker > Properties > Enhancements. Check Disable all enhancements, click Apply. See if this resolves issue. If not, enable only one of them at a time and sequentially check, if this does the trick.
5. Another suggestion, go to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Devices and Printers. Right click on your Bluetooth device, select Properties > Services tab> and disable Remote control.

I'm having the same issue.

Just finished building a brand new PC with Windows 10 Pro 64 bit (v. 10.0.18362.387), 32GB DDR 3600 RAM, AMD Ryzen 3900X, Gigabyte Aorus Xtreme x570 Mobo, Aorus Xtreme Geforce RTX 2080 TI Graphics Card and a set of Audeze Mobius 3D Bluetooth Headphones, as well as a set of Edifier S100DB BT Speakers

I am able to connect to both the headphones and speakers from every other BT capable device in my house (Macbook Pro Laptop, iPhone, Samsung Galaxy S10, etc...), but when trying to connect to my new PC, its a garbled, stuttering, hiccuping mess...

I have tried everything listed in this thread and in your post:

 * running BT troubleshooter

 * disabling Hands-Free Telephony and Remote Control under services

 * uninstalling and re-installing BT drivers

 * disabling audio enhancements

but to no avail...

Its been almost 10 years since the last time I used a PC and now I remember why... It's utterly laughable that something as basic as a BT connection, which every other technology company on the face of the earth has mastered for over a decade, is STILL an issue with Windows... the ONLY reason I built a PC was so I could get back into PC gaming and the last thing I want to do is spend HOURS fiddling within the guts of the OS to try and get a simple **** BT headset connection to work...

What a flipping joke...
