please o please tell me how i can stop Windows 10 from asking me to create a PIN to login with.....I DO NOT WANT TO CREATE ONE! no matter what I do it forces me to create one.
I understand it might be more secure etc etc but I DO NOT WANT TO CREATE ONE!
I am more than happy to enter in my normal password to access my profile I DO NOT WANT A PIN
Please assist me in stopping this annoyance. Its my computer and I will have it work the way I want it to.

2018-07-15T15:13:23+00:00 Doing both of these together made mine stop prompting on Windows Pro, most recent update as of July 15th 2018:
- Click Start and search "Edit group policy"
- Go to Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> System -> Logon
- Double click on "Turn on convenience PIN sign-in" and select "Disable", then "Ok
- Make sure on your sign-in page (on startup) that the icon for password (under the password box) is selected.
Personal Note: Whatever backwoods software dev thought that forcing this on and making a user use Group Policy, an advanced Windows settings area, to turn it off needs to be reigned in. Like many Microsoft things, the idea is cool, but the execution is terrible.

2018-07-17T13:46:40+00:00 I also had this problem and what solved it for me was to verify my identity on this pc. Go to start -> your profile picture -> account settings. For me there was a small text "You have to verify your identity on this computer" and then I had to verify that it was me with an authentication code sent via email/text message. After doing so the pin dialog never showed again.

2018-07-25T17:39:24+00:00 None of those options worked. Setting up my pin to be the same as my password looked like it was saving my pin somewhere else. Since I don't know what that's for I decided against it. Well done Microsoft. I really appreciate you making my account safer by requiring a 4 digit pin instead of a mixed alphanumeric password with symbols.
