2019-11-01T16:50:21+00:00 Hey Darren. Sorry this is a frustrating problem but there may be a solution for you.
I will reference what the answers say here to help: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/for...
Press your windows key + X > Type netplwiz in the run prompt > uncheck user needs to use password for the account.
You can also go to settings - account - sign-in options > choose sign in with local account, and you will have to enter a pin ONE time > leave new password and confirmation empty > log out and back in > should be fixed and you wont have to enter anything.
If none of this works you may try to use windows key + X > netplwiz when it asks for a username and password, enter the full email address of your Microsoft account and the password > you'll never have to enter a PIN again.
Let me know if this works out for you.
that's all well and good but if you need a pin to get into your computer, how the hell do you get to settings? if I could get to my settings …...tada,,,,I WOULD BE IN MY COMPUTER!!!!

2019-09-20T17:11:55+00:00 I totally agree with Darren, I hate how it forces you to create a PIN, and anything else such as Cortana. I am asked every time I log on. This is really making me miss apple.

2019-08-10T11:54:57+00:00 I went and created the PIN and immediately deleted it. I haven't tried restarting my computer yet but so far it is no longer asking me to create another, and I sign in with my password as normal.
Thanks, made a simple pin as no other choice, completed set up. Went to set up pin by typing it in box at bottom left of screen, and when hello pin option appears in the sign in options i just clicked remove, put password to confirm and its gone now. No PIN.
Ha ha, hate been forced in to things by windows 10
