2021-03-12T09:13:16+00:00 Didn't work for me. Maybe it's a different version of Windows 10, but I couldn't find where the user needs to use password for the account option.

2021-02-13T14:09:48+00:00 I also do not wish to use a PIN.
A PIN is LESS secure than a local password!
This is because a PIN leaks information about it's length, and a password does not.
I would be fine with a local password, if it was forced.
I was just prompted with a blue screen on black that gave me a choice of set up a pin now, or to be reminded a few days later. It also tried to get me to buy a subscription to office 365, which at least i was able to refuse.
Please stop with this nonsense about it being more secure than a password, when it is less.

2021-02-06T03:48:28+00:00 This is not a viable solution, this removes the necessity to enter ANY password at all to use my PC.
I want to use JUST my password, not a PIN, not a fingerprint, nothing else. Just my password. And it keeps nagging me to create a pin every single time I log in to my computer. Absurd.
I do not want to change my microsoft password to another intrusive method i dont want ANOTHER PASSWORD
