please o please tell me how i can stop Windows 10 from asking me to create a PIN to login with.....I DO NOT WANT TO CREATE ONE! no matter what I do it forces me to create one.
I understand it might be more secure etc etc but I DO NOT WANT TO CREATE ONE!
I am more than happy to enter in my normal password to access my profile I DO NOT WANT A PIN
Please assist me in stopping this annoyance. Its my computer and I will have it work the way I want it to.

Microsoft. Redefining security.
Microsoft actually is trying to re-define security, and that's a good thing, but they're going about it in their usual ham-fisted way.
Forcing users to choose a PIN seems to be deliberate on the part of Microsoft. I got around it by crashing the page that asked for a PIN, which let me bypass it. That may not work anymore.
Patience, young Jedi, in time someone will publish a work-around. There's almost always a way.
None of those options worked. Setting up my pin to be the same as my password looked like it was saving my pin somewhere else. Since I don't know what that's for I decided against it. Well done Microsoft. I really appreciate you making my account safer by requiring a 4 digit pin instead of a mixed alphanumeric password with symbols.

Doing both of these together made mine stop prompting on Windows Pro, most recent update as of July 15th 2018:
- Click Start and search "Edit group policy"
- Go to Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> System -> Logon
- Double click on "Turn on convenience PIN sign-in" and select "Disable", then "Ok
- Make sure on your sign-in page (on startup) that the icon for password (under the password box) is selected.
Personal Note: Whatever backwoods software dev thought that forcing this on and making a user use Group Policy, an advanced Windows settings area, to turn it off needs to be reigned in. Like many Microsoft things, the idea is cool, but the execution is terrible.
Of course that won't work on Windows Home -- only Professional.

Mine was doing the same after updating and I have solved the issue for me. I clicked on start and typed: account , then I clicked on manage account from there I clicked verify, I had to verify the account even though I had done this before. Now it the pin option doesn't pop up upon signing in which makes sense as it's now a secure account. Hope this helps you guys.
