BSOD on OneNote 2016 after Upgrade to Windows 10 Fall Creators Update 1709

I have this problem (BSOD in win32kbase.sys) on different computers (dell optiplex 760 & 780, optiplex 7020, hp elitedesk 800 g2, home built on MSI mainboard with core i7 3rd generation, (some with NVIDIA NVS, some integrated graphics, different software), a Surface Book (!) from 2016 ) after upgrading to Windows 10 1709 on OneNote 2016 (coming with the Office 2016 package), but only for this combination of OneNote and Windows.

We use CurrentBranch for Business Enterprise and regular Professional version.

Common is to all the cases that a more complex OneNote slide crashes faster (within seconds):

we have tables (6x20) filled with screen-captured images (~1500pixels x 1000pixels) + some text, when zooming (control + mouswheel) in these files, BSOD occurs immediately.

No special additional hardware, update level on 2017-11-15 (just received KB4048951 and others, problem persits).

On request, I could share the OneNote file.

The exactly same OneNote file makes no problems on Win 10 1703/Win7/Win 8.1, or on a Win 10 1709 running OneNote from Office 2010/2013 packages.

    I am suffering the exact same problem with the same messages in the blue screen. This occurred after the creators update.

    I'm using an Alienware R3 13, Nvidea 1060 graphics card and a Surface Pro 4, i5 model. The error occurs on both systems and in the same sections of the notebook. The issue, as reported by others, appears to occur during a zoom, usually in a section which has a reasonable number of pictures, drawing graphics etc.

    This significantly impacts the usability of OneNote, especially on the Surface Pro, for which it is one of the most useful applications.

    Hopefully a solution to this issue can be found soon.

    We are having the exact same issue here and I know how to repeat the issue in onenote with the 1709 update.

    Take a PowerPoint presentation and copy paste (ctrl c/ctrl v) the information from the PowerPoint to one note.

    Zoom in and out = Bluescreen.

    As long as that copy pasted material lives anywhere inside the notebook it bluescreens. Onenote notebooks without copy pasted material work fine.

    Can we get this fixed now?

    Yes, I found two tickets in the feedback hub that adequately described the same issue and I posted my results on how to re-create the issue there as well.

    Unfortunately they only have 2-4 up-votes.

     When I rolled back to Version 1703 the problem vanished. After trying again later the problem was there again.

    By this, do you mean to say that the problem initially went away after rolling back. But then it suddenly reappeared?

    Has there been any solution to this in the past couple of weeks?
