I have this problem (BSOD in win32kbase.sys) on different computers (dell optiplex 760 & 780, optiplex 7020, hp elitedesk 800 g2, home built on MSI mainboard with core i7 3rd generation, (some with NVIDIA NVS, some integrated graphics, different software), a Surface Book (!) from 2016 ) after upgrading to Windows 10 1709 on OneNote 2016 (coming with the Office 2016 package), but only for this combination of OneNote and Windows.
We use CurrentBranch for Business Enterprise and regular Professional version.
Common is to all the cases that a more complex OneNote slide crashes faster (within seconds):
we have tables (6x20) filled with screen-captured images (~1500pixels x 1000pixels) + some text, when zooming (control + mouswheel) in these files, BSOD occurs immediately.
No special additional hardware, update level on 2017-11-15 (just received KB4048951 and others, problem persits).
On request, I could share the OneNote file.
The exactly same OneNote file makes no problems on Win 10 1703/Win7/Win 8.1, or on a Win 10 1709 running OneNote from Office 2010/2013 packages.

Great news. I've been scared of touching several pages in my one note workbook for some time now. Although the other version of the app is good, the full desktop version has some very useful features. It's a great piece of software and, in my opinion, the number one reason for buying MS Surface. So thanks for the awesome software and fingers crossed you get this fix out soon.
Great news, acknowledgement that there is a problem is nice to have. A fix can't come soon enough! It's really good fun marking work, opening a new students work for review (I use the class notebook add in which is excellent) and getting a random bsod depending on how they imported their PowerPoint. Having to wait 5 mins to reboot your PC everytime it happens is a real souls destroyer. As if marking wasn't dull enough. Will a notification be posted here when a fix is ready or are we really going to have to wait for an official windows update (I imagine in the spring). If it's going to be that long, it would be nice to know so I and others can adapt what we're doing. At the moment, it's unusable, at least from my way of having to use it. (you can't rely ln kids to follow specific instructions about how to import their work... Just getting the work in can be hard enough!)

Hello all, I'm an engineer from the OneNote team. Sorry for the trouble and silence here. The Windows team has identified the bug in the 1709 update and is preparing a fix for this. At this time I don't know when the fix will be released, but will be in a future update.
Same here on a fresh Windows 10 installation.
Just copy-paste something from PowerPoint to OneNote, zoom-in and BSOD :/
