BSOD on OneNote 2016 after Upgrade to Windows 10 Fall Creators Update 1709

I have this problem (BSOD in win32kbase.sys) on different computers (dell optiplex 760 & 780, optiplex 7020, hp elitedesk 800 g2, home built on MSI mainboard with core i7 3rd generation, (some with NVIDIA NVS, some integrated graphics, different software), a Surface Book (!) from 2016 ) after upgrading to Windows 10 1709 on OneNote 2016 (coming with the Office 2016 package), but only for this combination of OneNote and Windows.

We use CurrentBranch for Business Enterprise and regular Professional version.

Common is to all the cases that a more complex OneNote slide crashes faster (within seconds):

we have tables (6x20) filled with screen-captured images (~1500pixels x 1000pixels) + some text, when zooming (control + mouswheel) in these files, BSOD occurs immediately.

No special additional hardware, update level on 2017-11-15 (just received KB4048951 and others, problem persits).

On request, I could share the OneNote file.

The exactly same OneNote file makes no problems on Win 10 1703/Win7/Win 8.1, or on a Win 10 1709 running OneNote from Office 2010/2013 packages.

It's unlikely to work if I can reproduce the error on a completely new otherwise blank machine. But... I'll try, thanks for the quick reply.

    Update: It didn't work.

Did you also tried deleting the cache of the Onenote desktop app?

    In C:\Users**<user>**\AppData\Local\Microsoft\OneNote\16.0

you'll find a cache folder. Delete it after closing Onenote.

Deleting the cache only works for that particular page (and maybe that instance only. If you do work in OneNote that requires frequent use of vector-rich pages, then it will just happen again the next time you create one (speaking from experience, as I do this daily and it occurs daily).

Microsoft, we need an actual code-based solution.

I also have the same problem, updated all drivers including bios. The crash happens on my lenovo laptop, latest onenote desktop version on a distinct page with vector graphics - when zooming in and out as described.

**This happens in safe mode and even if you sync the onenote page to other lenovo laptops.**Moreover deleting the data, uninstalling the latest windows update or switching from onenote dekstop to app-version cannot be the solution and are not even a good workaround.

Please have someone seriously look at this. Seems to be a Lenovo, graphics card or memory problem.

I have exactly the same issue. I found this happens almost every time when I try to zoom in or zoom out.

I have also the same issue! Zooming in and out seems to cause the bluescreen. The most common platform seems to be lenovo notebooks and Intel onboard graphic card drivers.
