I have older AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+, Asus MB, after installation of KB4056892 the system doesn't boot, it only shows the Windows logo without animation and nothing more. After several failed boots it do roll-back then it shows error 0x800f0845. Unfortunately, it seems it's not easy to disable the automatic updates without gpedit tweaks, so it tries installing and rolling-back the update over and over. The sfc /scannow shows no problem, in-place upgrade also doesn't seem to help. I can try full reinstall, but I doubt it will change anything. It seems like the update is binary incompatible with my old CPU. I understand that making the machine unbootable is the best protection from remote exploitation, but I would rather have the OS working. Especially if my CPU is not vulnerable to the Meltdown attack and the MS mitigation attempts for Spectre is more than questionable. I could find only some German and Italian people reporting the same issue (well the CPU is quite pre-historic and the KB update is very fresh), but no info / acknowledgment from the MS so far. I have Czech localization. Could anybody provide more information?

The same thing is happening to me, except that I have an older Intel Core i7-2600K processor!
After the update, my PC reports that the boot drive is inaccessible and then it gets stuck in a endless boot loop as Windows tries to repair it, but fails. The only way out is to restore to a point before the update!
Arrrg, yes it is a PITA boomerang. Hanging, unbootable Windows 10. Removed KB4056892 using dism, was able to boot again but did not disable Windows Updates because KB4073707 *claimed* to have paused the updates for affected AMD processors. And now... again crashing / hanging with unbootable Windows 10. This is AMD 5050e BTW. It’s just sad.

Maybe there is a Restore Point you can go to, if the device does not automatically recover.
(Especially, after using a System Restore (Restore Point) or if the device Auto-rolls back): see if you can catch the update with the Hide/Show troubleshooter , check 'Control Panel-Programs and Features->view installed updates' , see if it is there (uninstall if it shows there); again, use dism /online /get-packages from within windows and see what is there..... or if unbootable try dism in the recovery environment see:

I have a new AMD Athlon II X4 620 processor and the update KB4056892 will not let me access a program I must use daily. I uninstalled the update and my computer is back to running perfectly. Also the update put a huge load on my CPU making it run at 75% utilization, many times 100% and made my NEW computer run SLOW. HEY MICROSOFT.. I will continue to uninstall KB4056892 until you fix it.. This is bull s#*%. Please stop updating my computer with this BAD update.
Just checking back on the status of this issue. I used wushowhide to pause updates and uninstalled KB4056892. I'm hoping someone on here will let us know when it is safe to resume updates again. Just glad I figured out what happened and that resources like this exist to help us all. I was unable to use restore point or recovery disk or recovery partition. I had to do a full re-install of Win10. And then 2 installations showed up, as if my original was now visible. I didn't like this, so since I had already used Ubuntu Live to recover files, I reformatted, partitioned and did one more clean install of Win10. It tried to install KB4056892 several times, but I was able to uninstall it before any reboots happened each time, then found out how to pause using wushowhide. A lot of work and a lot of my time wasted by this faulty update.
