Error Code: 0x80072f76 0x20017. Windows media creation tool.

I've disabled the defender and other software for malware and virus protection and tried moving the executable to desktop and then launching it. I don't have an idea whats wrong with it! Any help is much appreciated.

I was able to solve it on a 2016 Lenovo laptop by disabling antivirus until next reboot and pointing my DNSs to Google Ones.

Hope this helps someone else as well.

Well, my computer (Lenovo x230i) is with the last insider update and it doesn't work... Boring

Gladly it worked on the SP3 of my wife so finally I can use the official iso and erase what I found elsewhere.

Hi i rang microsoft 3 times they are aware that there isxa problem they talked me through another way of getting the iso file ... if you call them they can go through it its quite lengthy but im now up and running !

ok guys. i think I know the problem.

You need to update your pc to the latest creators update.

It seems to work now, although I have not finished creating the bootable drive yet
