windows 10 my file explorer is not responding.

Open Start, type: file explorer options
Hit Enter
Select the General tab
Click Restore defaults
Could be an issue with your display driver.
uninstall your display driver then restart
Press Windows key + X
Click Device Manager
Expand Display adapters
Right click the current display adapter
Click Uninstall
Exit Device Manager
Restart

Right click Start button to open Task Manager.
On Processes tab, scroll down to Windows Explorer under Windows Processes. Highlight, then click Restart button at bottom.

But remember that Factory or Upgrade installs are inferior installs which most enthusiasts won't even run because they'd expect endless issues. There is also an automated Refresh that reinstalls WIndows while shedding corrupting factory bloatware, saves your files, but doesn't clear the drive to get it cleanest: https://www.howtogeek.com/265054/how-to-easily-...

Clearing out these folders and restarting File Explorer fixed the issue with Quick Access:
Open Start, type: file explorer options
Hit Enter
Select the General tab
Click Restore defaults

Hi Andre, your 1st part above was enough to solve my " File Explorer not Responding" issue right away. Many thanks indeed.
Upon running the scan in sfc, I get the following message:
'Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them. For online repairs, details are included in the CBS log file located at windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For offline repairs, details are included in the log file provided by the /OFFLOGFILE flag.'
The repair errors look like this:

How do I fix this, except for reinstalling Windows?
