After updating to the Fall Creators' Update, Windows misses the first several keystrokes from my Microsoft Designer Bluetooth Keyboard. This occurs when after rebooting, first logging in or simply after the keyboard has been idle for a bit. The problem happens not only in Windows, but in all applications, too.
I have replaced the keyboard batteries and the problem persists.
I have tried another identical keyboard and the problem persists with that keyboard, too.
I have checked for driver updates, but Device Manager indicates that I have the latest drivers.
The problem did not happen before updating to the Fall Creators' Update.

2018-02-08T17:00:52+00:00 Have you heard anything from Microsoft? We're in the same position. Three PC's all with Microsoft Designer Keyboards all going to sleep after a few minutes of idleness. It seems to lose somewhere between 1 and 3 characters then picks up. I guess it might be down to how fast we hit the keys.

I don't believe anyone from Microsoft monitor this or the W10 Feedback Hub.
Like you we have 3 MS Designer Keyboards connected to different laptops - all have the same problem since the Fall Update. To make matters worse my own machine is a MS Surface Book - so Microsoft can't even make their own hardware work properly together.
I know what not to do next time I see a glossy MS advert for yet more Surface products...!
