Windows 10 missing first keystrokes from Microsoft Designer Bluetooth Keyboard after Fall Creators' Update

After updating to the Fall Creators' Update, Windows misses the first several keystrokes from my Microsoft Designer Bluetooth Keyboard. This occurs when after rebooting, first logging in or simply after the keyboard has been idle for a bit.  The problem happens not only in Windows, but in all applications, too.

I have replaced the keyboard batteries and the problem persists.

I have tried another identical keyboard and the problem persists with that keyboard, too.

I have checked for driver updates, but Device Manager indicates that I have the latest drivers.

The problem did not happen before updating to the Fall Creators' Update.

    Keyboard problem seems to be resolved on PCs with the February 13, 2018—KB4074588 (OS Build 16299.248) update.  The update has the following quote "Improves and reduces conditions where certain Bluetooth keyboards drop keys during reconnection scenarios."

    I have the same issue, first keystroke almost always miss.

    My PC is a HP Zbook15 and i run win10 1709 OS version 16299.251

    and have a Microsoft Sculpt Ergonomic Keyboard

    Keyboard is behaving much better.

    The mouse is still laggy when the CPU is busy.

    My other issue with the external display blanking out on the Surface Book/Surface Dock has been resolved after recent Surface Dock firmware update.

    Finally, getting back to a useable machine.

    This issue seems to be resolved in the latest Windows 10 update (dated Feb 13, 2018). Are others still experiencing the problem after the update?
