Windows 10 missing first keystrokes from Microsoft Designer Bluetooth Keyboard after Fall Creators' Update

After updating to the Fall Creators' Update, Windows misses the first several keystrokes from my Microsoft Designer Bluetooth Keyboard. This occurs when after rebooting, first logging in or simply after the keyboard has been idle for a bit.  The problem happens not only in Windows, but in all applications, too.

I have replaced the keyboard batteries and the problem persists.

I have tried another identical keyboard and the problem persists with that keyboard, too.

I have checked for driver updates, but Device Manager indicates that I have the latest drivers.

The problem did not happen before updating to the Fall Creators' Update.

    I have the same problem.

    when I leave the wifi connection, the problem does not reoccur (Intel dual band wireless AC 8260)

    I have the same issue.  Designer Bluetooth Keyboard worked fine before the FCU, now it's missing the first keystrokes each time I move to a different input field, page, window, etc..  Mine is paired to a Dell Latitude 7480 laptop.

    Same issue for me. Surface Book with Designer Bluetooth Keyboard and Mouse.

    Worked perfectly before Fall Creators Update.

    Now Keyboard misses keypresses, repeats keys and is generally slow.

    And mouse becomes unusable as soon as the machine is doing any work with lag 10-20 seconds behind the movement.

    Fix it....and soon.

    Hi Martin,

    A compatibility issue between the new version of Windows 10 and the Bluetooth keyboard can be the reason why you're encountering the missing keystrokes issue. Like what we've mentioned in our last reply, we suggest using a different kind of keyboard. This is for us to know if the issue is with the specific keyboard or not.

    I have exactly the same issue.

    Both my home and work computers, both using Microsoft Designer Bluetooth keyboard. Worked no problems prior to update. It would appear that the first two keys pressed after not using for a wee while do not get registered.

    System 1

    Intel NUC with Microsoft Designer Bluetooth Desktop

    System 2

    Microsoft Surface Pro 3 with Microsoft Designer Bluetooth Desktop

    Please help.
