Looks like the Windows 10 Pro v1809 upgrade (installed Dec 14, 2018) fixed the missing keystrokes (1 or 2) for my older applications on Edge. Only took a year for MS to look at this and do something. But better than nothing. Will continue to check and update this post if I missed something.
Windows 10 missing first keystrokes from Microsoft Designer Bluetooth Keyboard after Fall Creators' Update
After updating to the Fall Creators' Update, Windows misses the first several keystrokes from my Microsoft Designer Bluetooth Keyboard. This occurs when after rebooting, first logging in or simply after the keyboard has been idle for a bit. The problem happens not only in Windows, but in all applications, too.
I have replaced the keyboard batteries and the problem persists.
I have tried another identical keyboard and the problem persists with that keyboard, too.
I have checked for driver updates, but Device Manager indicates that I have the latest drivers.
The problem did not happen before updating to the Fall Creators' Update.

2018-12-11T14:37:58+00:00 I upgraded to the newest version of Mouse and Keyboard Center today (11.137.0) and as I thought there would be, there was no change in performance. I'm hoping that when ever I upgrade from Windows version 1709 that this gets resolved.

2018-12-06T00:18:07+00:00 I'm very sorry you have had to go through this pain. The keyboard drops keystrokes when on PC or Mac.
It appears to be a Bluetooth failure. My old wireless Microsoft keyboard and mouse with dedicated dongle works fine.
Only problem with that is that the mouse contains two AA batteries wired I. Parallel. This is ok until one battery runs down before the other and the other one reverse charges it, causing it to burst and leak corrosive goo everywhere..
Luckily, other wireless keyboards are available. ;-)
