Computer freezes when I open task manager.

Can any one help me with this.

I got a new computer and every time I open up task manager it causes my computer to run slow then freezes.

If I have any thing running and open task manager this is when the issue starts.

I have windows 10 pro, i7, 20gb ram.

    I did the following that you said. The computer didn't find any bad files and didn't fix any. Also troubleshooting I really haven't did much. I was hoping it was a software issue and Microsoft would have a fix for it by now.

    Freezing issues might also occur due to some software conflicts. For further troubleshooting, we recommend performing a clean boot on your computer. Performing a clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts that occur when you install a program, an update, or when you run a program in Windows 10.

    Ok, what next? Ive never gotten good support on the windows forums before. Is just a slow process. I try too google for an answer and the search results are flooded with these unanswered questions.

    I am having the same issue and despite extensive searches, there seems to be no solution to this problem the earliest instances of this I have found go back 2012.

    I have run SFC and DISM both of which offer me a clean bill of health.

    I'm not sure I can repeat it, but task manager appeared to work briefly this morning but caused a system hang as soon as I clicked on more details.

    I used to use task manager quite frequently but now a few seconds after selecting it I need to reboot my computer as it becomes unusable (using the power button).
