How permanently stop windows 10 force updates

I'm using an ACER aspire ES 14 laptop and it's been with me for over a year now with no problems whatsoever. Not until the start of 2018 where out of nowhere, windows 10 wants me to install their updates. Now for how long have I been ignoring those latest updates and seen some of the peoples complaints in recent forums that the newest updates destroys their PC/laptops instead of making it better, I'm kinda scared and also don't have the time to get all of the updates in my laptop. First, it was the windows assistant that was bugging me, where it would just show up and stops me for doing anything else. I tried the following method of going to "Services" and disabling both "Background Intelligence Transfer" and "Windows Update" and restarted my laptop, but of course those didn't work since it will automatically enables themselves again while also installing windows 10 assistant back. So I tried another method I found here that needs me to go to Task Scheduler and do some tweaking here and there, and what do you know, it worked! At least for 3 weeks... Then a few days ago, I found windows 10 assistant installs itself again, so I had to do the same steps I did before and it worked so far, then the next day where I was expecting it to install itself again. Something new happened, instead of windows 10 assistant, I just received a notification in my Action Center that "We're getting your PC up to date" and I know for sure that it's still a windows update and this is the part that's making me nuts and stressed out since I have no idea how to stop this, I'm all out of options even from searching this on the web. So I really need help from this.

And if something happens where the laptop suddenly broke due to all these windows updates, who am I to blame? Me? You? Microsoft? Does blaming help it restore back to way it used to be? Then how about just repairing it in case it gets broken? Sorry, but I don't even have a single buck with me right now? Then save some? If I have a job sure, but it's not easy looking for one right now from where I'm at. I'm pretty sure you're 100% believing it'll just go A-ok but not me, I'm afraid, seeing there's also bunch of people who just always update their system regularly and met with demise coming from windows. Like I said, I'm already satisfied with my laptop until Windows meddled in with their virus like updates. I didn't bought this laptop just because it has windows 10 in it, if possible I would've bought another one with either win 7 or 8 in them instead if I only knew sooner that it would turned out like this, having no control over your own PC/laptop anymore whenever you want to use the internet. Automatically downloading/installing stuff you didn't even ask for. Meddling with a bunch of options you disabled yourself and enabling them when you aren't looking. If that's not virus-like then I don't know what is... *Sigh* Looks like this is the end for me. I'll just wait till this laptop gets done in by the constant disabling and enabling of settings just to stop windows 10 updates. No matter what I ask here, the so called "MVP" here will just keep forcing me to update it, no better than what microsoft is doing right now...

Tbh, there really was nothing to fix in the first place, everything was in perfect order. Until Microsoft's forced updates attacked.
