How permanently stop windows 10 force updates

The only way to stop the updates is to disconnect from the Internet so the system can't receive them (this makes Windows 10 work the same as iPad, iPhone, tablets, Xbox, PlayStation, and other consumer electronic devices).  This is why Windows 10 is a continuous service, not a one-time product.  If you don't agree to the updates, you actually aren't legally allowed to use the system. You don't own Windows, you license the temporary restricted rights to use it. Those are the license terms of contract, and updates are required.  Your only alternative is to use another product instead.

Windows is so **** that it won't even let me choose when i can update. I just got an update which only gave me 30 minutes to save everything so it can restart itself and update. 

 And now, at the moment I have a audio render going on and it usually takes a lot longer sometimes even hours to do so. 

What kind of stupid assumption is that? As if all works can be finished and wrapped up within 30 minutes. Its not like i can possibly speed up the processing and make it render faster. 

My work is based on audio and DAWs and the last time i updated windows 10 i coudnt even run my Digital Audio Workstation, let alone create any music in it.

Something in the update messed up my DAW. In fact, the update was so bad that my buisiness got delayed by an entire day because i had to figure out how to go back a version and reinstall the older build.

What i dont understand is to why windows wont just give an option to do it once a year or something and just keep forcing it down our throats.. it doesnt even feel like they're helping me with these updates. It feels more like being at gunpoint and forcefully updating itself whether you like it or not. I guess i'll just move on to apple products now because i am almost done with windows!

Finally found something that kills Windows Update forever and its not so difficult to do,

After stopping wuaserv and bits services

Look for C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution and delete all of its contents, then remove ALL permissions to that directory, to do this you'll need to disable permission inheritance, then remove ALL permissions and the Virus called "Windows update" Will never be able to start again, I've done this to my 2 computers and has worked perfectly, no more forced updates, no more popups, no more bandwidth and disk IO wasting, no more forced reboots
