This is a bunch of ****! A Windows update made my desktop unusable by giving it the blue screen of what's your keyboard language and then kills the USB ports so you can't reply. Then we're sent on this
witch hunt to get the elusive mediacreationtool. Run it (which represents hours on my computer) and get an error. Then we're supposed to chase around ISO files (for which there is a note stating Microsoft doesn't share them with the public. This is Microsoft's
problem and the fix should be simple. Who compensates me for my time for an issue I didn't create???????
The media creation tool is far from "elusive." If you get an error on your machine, try a different one, or go to McDonald's and download the ISO on a notebook or tablet or something. If you don't have one, borrow one, or have a friend download the MCT
and use it to download the ISO and write it to disk or flash drive for you. Try not to make it harder than it needs to be.
BTW, you should be able to start your present machine in Safe Mode and uninstall the update that's screwing it up. Or, if that doesn't work, try rolling it back. As a last resort, try the "Fresh Start" option, though it will still take "hours" if downloading
the ISO does, as that's exactly what Fresh Start does.
