Hi Divyank,

The error code 0x80072F76-0x20017 means that the tool doesn't have permission for it to run. For us to assist you, we suggest that you follow the simple steps listed below:

  1. Right-click on the Media Creation Tool.exe.

  3. Click on General.

This is still not working this morning.  I had to download the ISO changing my user agent as previously suggested.

Works here if I use a different ISP. Some DNS/ISP/MS server issue. Nothing to do with system config IMO.

    Do:

    1)   Right click on MediaCreationTool.exe

    2)   Click on Properties

    3)   Click on Compatibility tab

    4)   Select Run this program in compatibility mode and select Windows 8.

And then try to run MediaCreationTool.exe again.

    Did this work for you?

This didn't work for me, but I was able to right click and click on Compatibility Troubleshooter (after changing to Run as Administrator) and that worked. I was able to open, accept the licensing agreement and successfully run the setup. I hope this works for others as well till they get this all sorted out.

Another thing that I find interesting is this "Unblock" that  people were asked to try.  There is no "Unblock" option for me, nor that I've ever seen.  Perhaps it's only there when it's been downloaded to a Home version computer or something.
