Feature update to Windows 10, version 1709 fails to install

Really glad to hear you've got v.1709. I doubt v.1803 (coming any day I presume) will be as problematic an upgrade, now that you've got a brand new BCD. Also, I presume that clone parent is gone. After v.1709 is fully functional - you won't want that clone parent, anyhow. You should be making system images instead.

I lost a single key on my Dell Inspiron 3542 keyboard after my clean install - but it was more trouble than convenience. I don't miss it. I would want to recover my numeric keypad, though.

...for an article or FAQ. Also, their user group might be smarter about ROG's. Could it be as simple as the NumLock key has been toggled? There may be a ROG way to toggle an alternate use of the numeric keyboard. There may be a ROG software that has been wiped that is needed for full functionality of the ROG keyboard.

Regarding Bluetooth, check at the device manufacturer (as seen in Device Manager) for an even greater driver version. Double-check you've got all the settings right. I have no Bluetooth device to test whether my own will work.

That's sensible. Thanks for the resource. I'll trust your intuition it was he originated that brain expander, though I can't find "CopyLogs" there or anywhere even with BING. It's like a big bang for the brain.

Im now running w10 1709 16299.309 build.

1. BLUETOOTH FUNCTION works now. Just have to manually update all drivers at device manager with a YELLOW danger ICON
2. still working for means to have numeric keypad works
3. I have transferred several files from my old HDD to SSD and have FULLY reformated my HDD. its completely empty now. A clean slate.

The DOWNSIDE. Re installing certain apps and games. Oh well.

Keep at it. Good going recovering the Bluetooth. I didn't have any yellow danger icons after my own clean install or any of the upgrade installs. I would want to get those resolved before installing many 3rd-party apps & games.

Sometimes the device manufacturer will have a greater version driver than the computer manufacturer. If absolutely no updated driver is available, try just un/re-installing the one you've got. Also, as Robert said, some have had to use an older driver. That may be located by clicking "Update Driver, Browse my computer, Let me pick". But, in case of a clean install, likely a visit to a site is required.

Microsoft may continue for a few days to finalize the clean install. I recall I didn't have the new "Files On-Demand" feature of OneDrive until a day/two after v.1709 had arrived. Ask Cortana for "Reliability" to see the activity.

Anyway, since I have reformatted my HDD, my system will not have trouble updating in the future (In regards to BCD)? Considering there is only one OS installed already and that is on my SSD. The HDD OS is gone for good
