Feature update to Windows 10, version 1709 fails to install

I have used EaseUS ToDo Backup to do my cloning.

There seems to be a number of cloning software packages out there.

I also use Apricron Notebook hard drive upgrade kit.

Originally the laptop came with HGST travelstar as original drive. bought a samsung SSD and use paragon migration software to clone HDD to SSD.

(1) Looks like you went into BIOS Setup & moved a direct boot to Windows to be above {bootmgr} (the Windows Boot Manager). That could be why you are unable to upgrade. The Boot Manager needs to be first.

(2) But your Boot Manager entry is a big mess. I would delete everything in "displayorder" except for "{current}" before booting to that. And "default" should be set to "{current}".  But all else in it looks OK.

(3) I see an entry in the BCD to boot to Windows.old...

Does that work? That's another candidate to preventing an upgrade. Even if it works, that folder eventually is auto-deleted. So, it couldn't work for long. I would delete that one. The upgrade may not like it. It doesn't even have a "Resume from Hibernate". Also, the upgrade may not like the fact that C:\Windows.old pre-exists. Does it? The upgrade wants to create one of its own.

(4) The huge bulk of the "Resume from Hibernate" should be deleted, namely each one whose identifier is unreferenced. They cause no harm, but are useless.

(5) This Boot Manager is unreferenced, & can be deleted...

That looks incomplete to me. Does it work? If its a second Windows installation, why isn't it in the Boot Manager? But I guess it doesn't have to be.
