in win 10, maximized window won't drag

Hi. I turned off snap and now a maximized window on my desktop won't drag and get smaller.

I browsed this site and did the Restorehealth in the command prompt thing, also sys scannow with no help.

In regedit, my hkey current user control panel desktop Drag from Maximum is set to "1".

How do I keep snap off and be able to drag maximized windows?

    Lol - I have been doing the EXACT SAME THING as MeatMonger for as long as I can remember (easily the last 10 years). This is a NOTABLE change and a HUGE inconvenience. (ALL CAPS intentional, as I'm literally YELLING at my computer in exasperation)

    One of these posts resolved it. It's a setting in the mouse menu.

    When I tried the fix mentioned, it seems that it turned snap back on.

    It seems to me that there are two options:

    1. Snap turned on: You are able to drag maximised windows but the window "snags" when dragging between screens.

    OR

    1. Snap turned off: You ate UNABLE to drag maximised windows but it doesn't "snag" when dragging between screens.

    Frankly, I don't like either of these options.

    I'm getting a little tired of things that work getting "broken" by updates.
