in win 10, maximized window won't drag

Hi. I turned off snap and now a maximized window on my desktop won't drag and get smaller.

I browsed this site and did the Restorehealth in the command prompt thing, also sys scannow with no help.

In regedit, my hkey current user control panel desktop Drag from Maximum is set to "1".

How do I keep snap off and be able to drag maximized windows?

    I don't often have issues but any time I look on here for help this is usually how it goes.

    -Someone asks a question

    -9 people reply with bad info

    -8 people reply saying they're doing it wrong

    -1 or 2 "MVP" reply with both of the above

    -1 person like yourself gives a good answer and actually helps

    Hi MeatMonger,

    I had same problem. After few experiments, I got problem solved on my Win 10 pc.

    Here is what I did to solve maximized window drag.

    Settings -> Multitasking

    Snap  ->  ON

    When I snap a window, automatically size it to fill available space  -> OFF

    When I snap a window, show what I can snap next to it  -> OFF

    When I resize a snapped window, simultaneously resize any adjacent snapped window -> OFF

    These steps work for me so far and I am  happy with it, turning OFF these three snapping features I really have no use.

    I hope this works for all of you having same problem.

    Am i retarded because none of these solutions fix the problem of having snapping disabled (who the **** would want this) and keeping the ability to move full screen apps between monitors.

    I could drag a maximized window 

    Mike is right.  If the window is maximized the window's window menu will prevent you from moving or resizing it and that has always been the case.   Use Alt-Space to see this.  Restore, Minimize and Close are your only options in this state.  So almost certainly you would have been dragging a maximally sized window.  In that case everything except Restore would have been available--a sign that the window is in its normal mode.
