Hello,
I've the same error on two older Systems which stuck on 1703 and can't get 1709.
In both cases I don't use 3rd party virus scanner, I only use Windows Defender.

Same problem. It keeps attempting to update and freezes on the logo at reboot. I have to shut the computer down and restart. Endless loop. Same result with the assistant and the media creation tool. All drivers Windows says are up to date. I am annoyed and clueless. I keep paying for new versions of Windows, but they don't get any better.
Hi Ao,
I will let you know the result but have not yet found time install 1709. I still have some drivers to check as some of the Dell are different builds to those installed when I last updated.
Hi AO,
It failed, now 05.48 and i am going to bed. Yet another waste of time despite your efforts. Failed at same place as always regadless of new wireless card, checked all drivers and updated 1 by 2 weeks or .001 version.
We would like to clarify if you've tried updating Windows 10 to version 1709 while using the laptop's built-in wireless card. If not, we recommend that you do so for us to see if the update will be successful or not.
Please post back if you can install the update while using the laptop's built-in wireless network card.
