Windows Store App Icons missing only while searching

When searching for app names from the search menu in Windows 10 the icon is missing or corrupted.

The icons in the start menu appear fine.

I have tried the following:

And probably a bunch of other things I can't recall at this time. Nothing has fixed the icons.

Any suggestions on how to fix this? It appears to only be related to the search function and not the actual icons showing in the start menu.

I haven't found any way to reset the cache related to the search.

I also have this exact problem. I see the lview png thumbnail icon for all windows store apps. I used to see the generic image icon (like above) but I think it changed when I wiped the thumbnail cache (which I read could fix the problem from another thread).  I felt like it was related to the FCU but I also have google drive sync installed.

Just chiming in with some more info. So happy to see that other people have this problem. This problem has persisted through multiple different hardware devices and full system restores of windows for me. It pops up shortly after logging into the system with my microsoft account.

Is the version of your Windows updated?

Have you tried reinstalling Windows and still getting the same issue?
