I don't wish to be rude, but you are singularly failing to address the issue here.  Basically, these people, like me have got their computer stuck in a loop.  The machine keeps starting, trying to restore, failing and restarting and trying to restore and restarting and ... (well, you get the picture).

There is no process or procedure that can be operated because .. well ... the machine won't start because it's stuck in the loop.

Please try to offer a practical solution to a problem that your company has created.

I suggest that the first step to resolution is to actually read the questions and address the issue  - which is 'we can't get our machines to start because they're stuck in this damned loop'.  Tell us how to get out of the loop first.

    Please!

I am still having the same issue and it is incredibly frustrating. My business computer is now rendered useless which also has my billing platform. We are being seriously affected by this failure with the update. I am extremely dissappinted with the lack of listening and comprehension of the problem which is forcing us to go elsewhere besides Microsoft to find a solution to a problem that they have caused.

I think a factory reset is your only option here man. Sucks, but thats what I had to do.

I can confirm this is a growing issue that Microsoft needs to address. I witnessed this on 2 Windows 10 Machines. The first Windows 10 machine was a 1509 Build. It had struggled to update itself over and over again. Finally the machine got stuck between the upgrade and the previous version. You CANNOT go forward or back to the previous version. You CANNOT login to windows at any point. You CAN access the recovery options however if you attempt to use the recovery options the machine will ask you to pick an installation to recover and will list 2 windows 10 installations with the same name. I selected both installations and both failed. I'm wondering it he System Partition is corrupted in this process. The problem is Both installations are simply listed as windows 10 so you have no idea which one to attempt recovery on. There is no way of knowing which installation is the old version. The second Machine I witnessed this on had build 1703 installed. A week prior to this incident Windows 10 Struggled to install the update and would continuously re-download  by failing and reverting. I had to load 1709 and wipe out all of the partitions to get the device working again.  Personally I have backup software as I don't trust windows 10 to always upgrade itself successfully however that is not the case with most devices I have to work on.

    Please help!

My laptop is also stuck on that  screen. There is nothing I can do to make it stop. It is completely frozen. I have tried forcing a shut down but when I start it back up it goes right into that endless loop.

I work from home and cant work!!!!
