Windows 10 Stuck on “Restoring your previous version of Windows” loop

I'd be glad to help you with this. With your current situation, I suggest that go back to the previous build of your Windows 10 device. Don't worry about your files as they will be retained. Follow these steps:

1. Create a Media Creation Tool using this link and follow the instructions under Using the tool to create installation media.
2. Reboot your device and make the Media Creation Tool your boot priority in BIOS.
3. On the Choose an option screen, choose Troubleshoot then click Advanced options and there should be a Go back to the previous build option there. If there's none, click See more recovery options below.
4. On the next window, select the Admin account registered on your computer. Enter the correct credentials and proceed to going back to the previous build.

Reply back if there are improvements.

I too am like most of the other people on this thread. My Compaq boots up, the windows logo appears for a brief moment and then is followed by "attempting to recover installation" and then "restoring previous version..."

I have attempted to start in safe mode using the command prompt but it has rendered useless. I can access System Restore however, it offers me none of my earlier saved restore points. The only option given is to do a restore to factory settings. Something I don't want to do. 

My laptop is full of pictures of family and loved ones that have since passed. It is also full of projects for college and multiple pieces of media that are important to me. I do not want to lose them due to a failed system update. I have tried to do the restart whilst pressing F8 and it has still proved unsuccessful. 

What else can I do? It saddens me to think those pictures lost. They're irreplaceable and I'm sure many of the other people on here will be in a similar situation. We're asking for help with a problem that Microsoft has created and all we're getting is suggestions for things our computer is incapable of reaching due to the problem. Please, please read what I am saying and get back to me with a genuine answer, I'm practically begging.

What are the exact steps you've done in trying to resolve this issue? This way, the steps I would give would not seem repetitive on your end.
