Not sure if I just got lucky but I was able to resolve this by holding f7 for about 30 seconds. I had restarted 3 times with it stuck in the loop going nowhere. F7 then it started to load for a bit...took a few minutes then finally got to the sign in screen. This is with a hp envy 360 POS. Good luck

2018-08-17T19:07:04+00:00 Guys the solution that worked for me is force powering it off then i press the power button a let go and as soon as the small light bulb indicator turns on i keep pressing the F8 key untill i get the normal laptop logo boot up screen it will boot up normally and then you will get the sign in screen and it will be black after sign in but then you will get your usual desktop screen.
PS. Never updating again.

2018-08-16T00:39:47+00:00 Hello,
My Dell Inspiron 15 3000 Series laptop is stuck in a boot loop. I cannot access the login screen.
I have tried to do a hard reset but it just goes back to the 'Recovering your previous version of windows' loop.
I encountered this when I had an update, the update installed perfectly but it made my games and laptop lag.
When I tried to go back to the previous version it took a long time so I held down the power button until it turned off.
When I tried to turn it on it got stuck in a loop and it has been like that for two weeks or so.
Please help me on how to fix this.
