PDF files will no longer open on Windows Phone - Can't Open on EDGE

I've researched, cleared caches, and downloaded other PDF readers from the store to no luck ...

Since fixing a MAPS error with a Hard Reset, I've found that I can't open PDFs on my phone anymore. With Windows 10 on my Lumia 650 phone, the default/only way to see PDFs were (add still are) through EDGE. 

When I click the file, whether it's on- or off-line, it would appear to proceed and open how it use to but end up saying: 

Here is the converted link from an offline PDF file that accompanies the Message above (..the same prefix appears with online PDF files):

ms-appx-web:///assets/errorpages/ErrorPages.html?error=100000#file:///C:/Data/USERS/Public/Documents/EM_2018_schedule.pdf

When I email this and other PDFs to myself or click on PDFs online and open them on my PC, I'm able to see the file through EDGE without problems/error/issue.

    Until Microsoft delivers the fix, there is a resolution!

    Oh well, better said, a work around :)

    I. to read PDF's in e-mail, save them, and open de PDF separately with FOXIT.

    Foxit is free available in the Windwos App Store.

    II. when you want to read a PDF on the internet, simply use another browser! I tried UC BROWSER. UC Browser also is free available in the Windwos App Store.

    With THIS browser you can choose to download the pdf on the web.

    They will be saved in a UC browser folder.

    Then you have to use Foxit to open the PDF. It works, I tested this on my Lumia650.

    I know, I know, this 'method' costs a lot more time!

    BUT at least, now you are able to open ALL PDF's.

    Same here fed up with Microsoft and their stupidity, am going to buy a Nokia and learn Android.

    This was suggested from the outset and it works. But it still doesn't solve the original problem. Almost all browsers that allow you to save files work. Any PDF reader works, too.

    I do not want to download and mess about because of Microsoft incompetence, i want a one click solution Andriod will give me this on a nice shiny new Nokia. Microsoft have had a couple of weeks to do this but failed.
