PDF files will no longer open on Windows Phone - Can't Open on EDGE

I've researched, cleared caches, and downloaded other PDF readers from the store to no luck ...

Since fixing a MAPS error with a Hard Reset, I've found that I can't open PDFs on my phone anymore. With Windows 10 on my Lumia 650 phone, the default/only way to see PDFs were (add still are) through EDGE.

When I click the file, whether it's on- or off-line, it would appear to proceed and open how it use to but end up saying:

Here is the converted link from an offline PDF file that accompanies the Message above (..the same prefix appears with online PDF files):

ms-appx-web:///assets/errorpages/ErrorPages.html?error=100000#file:///C:/Data/USERS/Public/Documents/EM_2018_schedule.pdf

When I email this and other PDFs to myself or click on PDFs online and open them on my PC, I'm able to see the file through EDGE without problems/error/issue.

Moved from: Microsoft Edge/ PDF, EPUB, and reading/ Windows 10

What angers me the most is that it DID work. We were just going along, minding our own business, loving our phones and doing our thing. We weren't asking anything of anybody. We knew the phones were going to be obsolete at some point. But we liked/loved what we had, and as long as it can do what it does, we had no reason to change from it. And yeah...there's that $500 price we paid a year or so ago, too. Nobody wants to abandon the thing without getting a little more out of it first.

And then they just come along and shove an "update" down our throats that degrades the functionality of our phones, and we're supposed to just be okay with that?

It seems to me they shouldn't have the right to break my phone and there's nothing I can do about it.

I've been a loyal Windows Phone customer for many years and 950XL being my 5th Windows phone. Pdf not opening with one click is the deal breaker. I work on the go and cannot afford  save, open another app, then find the file again. Time I cannot afford. Very sad and sorry but will be buying another phone as the update doesn't look like it's coming out and fixing the problem any time son.
