Yes, it does work, as do most pdf readers. But having to save the files first, what a stupid solution. Do I really want to download every pdf I want to read? Not by a long shot. MS really screwed up and should do everything they can to fix such a serious
issue. It's not just a little thing, it is a major issue!
Actually, I downloaded every other PDF reader I could find in the Microsoft Store, and every one other than Foxit needed you to click on the PDF and choose it from the purported list of Apps your phone would offer you. But that functionality has been removed
from Windows, and a list of options is no longer offered.
And yes, as I said, it is not a satisfactory solution, not to mention insufficient as it is not possible to open an internet-stored PDF.
My point is that I don't think we need post after post after post ranting about how awful this is. There is zero chance that Microsoft actually cares that 15 or 22 or 45 people posted how mad they are. Five hundred people could rant the same rant and Microsoft
won't care one bit. What does matter, though, is that all these rants saying the same thing spreads out the useful information over so many pages that new users won't bother to read it all. So invariably, the same helpful information
ends up getting posted over and over and over as well.
So please...we all agree that it's unacceptable, insulting treatment from Microsoft, and we need a solution asap. For the sake of the help we might get from this board, though, it would help if we limited the number of posts that are just complaining so
that people can find the useful information they're coming here for. Don't get me wrong: at least a post a day would be good, just to keep the issue alive. But too much of it just clogs the help.
Just my 2 cents.
