My new Laptop is a Lenovo T470s (S/N PC0PXLX1) with a "Sierra Wireless EM7455 Qualcomm Snapdragon X7 LTE-A" WWAN card.
After working well for 6 weeks, I am now unable to get an internet connection using that adapter.
Windows 10 network diagnostics tells me I need to "Enter a SIM PIN2 to unlock the mobile broadband device". I can find no way to enter anything.
Tech support at both AT&T and Lenovo have never heard of SIM PIN2 and each blames the other for the problem. I have talked to each several times and have been referred to "advanced tech support."
My internet provider is AT&T.
This community has referred to a "provider specific software" that solved one participant's similar problem.
My provider, AT&T, has given me two PUK numbers. I suspect their PUK2 may be the SIM PIN2, but I still have no way to utilize that information.

I have the same problem on a Microsoft Surface Pro. Spent an hour on the phone with T Mobile. They gave me 2 codes they think should "unlock" the Sim but there is no place to enter a number that I can find. This Sim has worked for 2 years. This is VERY frustrating since I bought this Surface Pro to use cell service.

Hi Jack,
If you are programmer or analyzer of network, maybe you are install the software named Wireshark to capture the network package, but I found that Npcap will instead winpcap at the new version of Wireshark, and the Npcap will be the reason of you received the message "Enter a SIM PIN2 to unlock the mobile broadband device".
You can try to uninstall the Wireshark and Npcap, and removed a network adapter name like "Npcap Loopback". My laptop is worked successfully when I finished uninstall software and remove the network adapter.

I have the same issue on the dell latitude 7212. It asks for me to enter the pin2 number that I have from the network operator just that I have no idea where to enter the number.
