Hi Steven,

This error occurs due to a possible corrupted startup file. For us to troubleshoot this issue, we suggest that you follow these steps:

  1. Restart your computer for 3 times to see Windows 10 Boot Options menu.
  2. Choose Troubleshoot.

3. Click on Advanced Options.

4. Select Command Prompt. 5. When Command Prompt appears, enter the following command lines and press Enterafter each: - bootrec.exe /rebuildbcd - bootrec.exe /fixmbr - bootrec.exe /fixboot 6. Restart your computer and check if the issue is resolved.

Let us know how it goes.

Over the past 3 months, I have been forced to re-install Windows 2X due Windows 10 updates crashing my PC and am now spending numerous hours with another update failure.  Microsoft, please prevent these failures from happening!!!!!  I have tried every option available for this most recent system crashing update and am going to need to resort to reinstalling Windows once again.  If this happens again, I am getting and Apple as I have had it with these unbelievable poor customer experiences and spending more time fixing my computer than using it.

I installed the update 2 days ago, and now I have the same error. No fixes are working, and from what I have read so far Windows and their update appear to be responsible. So I would like to very much add to the call for an explanation and an immediate solution from Microsoft.
