My computer wouldn't start and entered into an Automatic Repair. The automatic repair "couldnt repair [my]PC".

It specifies the following Log file: E:\Recovery\WindowsRE\Winre.wim\System32\Logfiles\Srt\SrtTrail.txt

*Modified title for accuracy*

Hi Steven,

This error occurs due to a possible corrupted startup file. For us to troubleshoot this issue, we suggest that you follow these steps:

  1. Restart your computer for 3 times to see Windows 10 Boot Options menu.
  2. Choose Troubleshoot.

3. Click on Advanced Options.

4. Select Command Prompt. 5. When Command Prompt appears, enter the following command lines and press Enterafter each: - bootrec.exe /rebuildbcd - bootrec.exe /fixmbr - bootrec.exe /fixboot 6. Restart your computer and check if the issue is resolved.

Let us know how it goes.

I still haven't fixed my computer. I think Microsoft should have to do something or pay to have our computers fixed cause we lil people can't just go out and get a new computer. Now I set without a computer. I sure hope you can fix yours. Good luck

I certainly hope not. I've run into the same issues. And my computer is brand new.

But why does it have to come out of the lil mans pocket I was lucky to get this computer. Now no computer

if you want to check my posts. what i did worked. i get no error messages. There were alot of steps and a lot of time and patience.  i did do a complete uninstall of avg and Malwarebytes. I uninstalled office  completely. I updated the bios , with the help of the manufacturers link to the update and the manufacturer of the motherboard because I needed to hit delete, not f12 to be able to get in and use qflash to update the bios..i made a bootable  usb drive-with the help of Microsoft on the phone and a different working computer this was after I figured out that it might be related to the updates.  Although I did not have to  use it. The other steps are in my post.

And if all else fails there are many cheap computers as well as tablets with keyboards, especially after the holiday returns. My rca viking 10 "  was bought used on Walmart website for under $80, last year.
