Automatic repair couldn’t repair your PC

My computer wouldn't start and entered into an Automatic Repair. The automatic repair "couldnt repair [my]PC". 

It specifies the following Log file: E:\Recovery\WindowsRE\Winre.wim\System32\Logfiles\Srt\SrtTrail.txt

Hi Steven,

This error occurs due to a possible corrupted startup file. For us to troubleshoot this issue, we suggest that you follow these steps:

  1. Restart your computer for 3 times to see Windows 10 Boot Options menu.
  2. Choose Troubleshoot.

3. Click on Advanced Options.

4. Select Command Prompt. 5. When Command Prompt appears, enter the following command lines and press Enterafter each: - bootrec.exe /rebuildbcd - bootrec.exe /fixmbr - bootrec.exe /fixboot 6. Restart your computer and check if the issue is resolved.

    After i type bootrec.exe /fixboot, it says acces is denied. You dont specify what to do if this happens or what it means.

    When i type bootrec.exe /fixboot

    And press Enter

    Access denied can help me.

    I cannot believe Microsoft is actually not giving a solution for this issue.

    As you may have guessed I have the same problem, on one of my pcs at work.

    Imma keep looking. Maybe someone in any another forum has already found a solution. I promise to post if I find any hint.

    Baldwin,

    I had this problem and after many attempts to follow various instructions, all failed. What I did was use DOS commands from the CMD prompt to save some files to an external hard drive. Fortunately I grew up in a DOS environment. After saving some files, I trashed the hard drive. Hope you have better luck, but you can save some things from the cmd prompt. Even hidden directories are still there if you know the names of the directories.
