Automatic repair couldn’t repair your PC

My computer wouldn't start and entered into an Automatic Repair. The automatic repair "couldnt repair [my]PC". 

It specifies the following Log file: E:\Recovery\WindowsRE\Winre.wim\System32\Logfiles\Srt\SrtTrail.txt

Hi Steven,

This error occurs due to a possible corrupted startup file. For us to troubleshoot this issue, we suggest that you follow these steps:

  1. Restart your computer for 3 times to see Windows 10 Boot Options menu.
  2. Choose Troubleshoot.

3. Click on Advanced Options.

4. Select Command Prompt. 5. When Command Prompt appears, enter the following command lines and press Enterafter each: - bootrec.exe /rebuildbcd - bootrec.exe /fixmbr - bootrec.exe /fixboot 6. Restart your computer and check if the issue is resolved.

    Im getting this error and can't seem to get around it, even after running disk checks and Windows10 recovery tool - any ideas.

    When I get to put in the last command such as 

    • bootrec.exe /fixboot is say or tell me Access is denied. I am now wondering why?

    I feel your pain. I have tried every possible way to fix the issue and it is a dead end. Reformat the disc and start with a refreshed Windows 10 is the only way. Now I only want to know the real cause of this problem. I made an update and this **** happened. If the cause is from Microsoft itself, all I can say is “**** Microsoft”
