Automatic repair couldn’t repair your PC

My computer wouldn't start and entered into an Automatic Repair. The automatic repair "couldnt repair [my]PC". 

It specifies the following Log file: E:\Recovery\WindowsRE\Winre.wim\System32\Logfiles\Srt\SrtTrail.txt

Hi Steven,

This error occurs due to a possible corrupted startup file. For us to troubleshoot this issue, we suggest that you follow these steps:

  1. Restart your computer for 3 times to see Windows 10 Boot Options menu.
  2. Choose Troubleshoot.

3. Click on Advanced Options.

4. Select Command Prompt. 5. When Command Prompt appears, enter the following command lines and press Enterafter each: - bootrec.exe /rebuildbcd - bootrec.exe /fixmbr - bootrec.exe /fixboot 6. Restart your computer and check if the issue is resolved.

    Hi Steven

    Since I'm running my OS on an SSD, I got the same message as you. I fixed the problem by just reconnecting my HDD and booting up the PC and then shutting it down again and reconnecting the HDD. 

    Not sure what made it to be HDD related, since the OS is located on the SSD. However, I noticed that the recovery folder was located in a 'Recovery' folder located on my HDD's F: partition.

    In boot recovery.exe /buildbcd we get that total identified windows installations:0 

    What this means? And how to solve it?

    I got to system restore. Picked a date. It's just spinning at Restoring files. Goes on and on but gets to  nothing
