Automatic repair couldn’t repair your PC

My computer wouldn't start and entered into an Automatic Repair. The automatic repair "couldnt repair [my]PC". 

It specifies the following Log file: E:\Recovery\WindowsRE\Winre.wim\System32\Logfiles\Srt\SrtTrail.txt

Hi Steven,

This error occurs due to a possible corrupted startup file. For us to troubleshoot this issue, we suggest that you follow these steps:

  1. Restart your computer for 3 times to see Windows 10 Boot Options menu.
  2. Choose Troubleshoot.

3. Click on Advanced Options.

4. Select Command Prompt. 5. When Command Prompt appears, enter the following command lines and press Enterafter each: - bootrec.exe /rebuildbcd - bootrec.exe /fixmbr - bootrec.exe /fixboot 6. Restart your computer and check if the issue is resolved.

    Im getting this error and can't seem to get around it, even after running disk checks and Windows10 recovery tool - any ideas.

    When I get to put in the last command such as 

    • bootrec.exe /fixboot is say or tell me Access is denied. I am now wondering why?

    I am having huge problems, my laptop (using Windows 10) keeps crashing and I have tried so many options but cannot resolve, I run a business and have all of my data on my laptop which I cannot now access. I followed steps above but when i get to the last step (after fixboot) i get a message saying ‘Access is denied’. Can someone please help? Thank you. Babs

    I think the malware is pretty effective in forcing only a complete reformatting of the drive; I tried booting from DVD, USB, System Recovery points, nothing works whatsoever... and if you try to pull out the HD, it leaves that "Recovery.txt" file to spread to the next machine. It's horribly effective at what it's doing, but it appears (at least at this point) to be a straight Trojan Horse rather than a true virus. 

    Damn shame for people who lose precious memories. Sigh.
