how do I remove Microsoft Launcher from my phone

I decided to respond to an email and sync my phone to 10.  After downloading, ti presented one program after another to download and will not accept a refusal and it keeps showing me ads.  I want my old control system back.  I cannot erase Microsoft launcher but I did deactivate it.  That has helped some. I have trouble getting the home page to have what I need on it and I have difficulty using it as a phone now at times although deactivating it did help this. Can I go back to my old management system on my galaxy 6?

I have the Galaxy S8+. Like others, I could not uninstall as the uninstall button was disabled. If you force stop the app and then click on the 3 dots in the upper right hand corner, it asks you if you would like to uninstall for all users. I was very surprised that Microsoft Launcher basically took over my whole phone. It would have been nice to be able to link my phone to my PC without everything on my phone becoming impossible to find. Completely changed my home screen... What's up with that?

Thank you for your answer - very helpful.

I too thought I was simply wirelessly linking with my PC and I too experienced to total hijacking of my phone by Windows - it has taken me hours to reset things.  Definitely not happy.

    Again, thanks for the tips.

Thank you for your suggestions, most appreciated.

So now how do I get rid of TouchWiz?  It is more than painful.

Many updates are simply unhelpful. Sigh

    Darleen Pen,

I realise your answers are intended to help and for that, thank you.

However, Microsoft should never have invited users to use this application on their phones without a complete disclosure statement that to access the link is equivalent to allowing Microsoft to completely hijack one's phone.  It has taken me the better part of an entire day to restore my phone to it's original settings.  This upgrade is NOT helpful for those who want simply to be able to access their PC from their phone or vice versa.

    NOT happy.

I uninstalled it. I went on 'play store' app on phone and searched 'microsoft launcher' and from there you see the option to uninstall it
