how do I remove Microsoft Launcher from my phone

I decided to respond to an email and sync my phone to 10.  After downloading, ti presented one program after another to download and will not accept a refusal and it keeps showing me ads.  I want my old control system back.  I cannot erase Microsoft launcher but I did deactivate it.  That has helped some. I have trouble getting the home page to have what I need on it and I have difficulty using it as a phone now at times although deactivating it did help this. Can I go back to my old management system on my galaxy 6?

I did what Kerila said on 11/15/2017.  I went to the play store and looked up launcher.  You can easily UNINSTALL from there.  I had to turn off the phone and turn it on, but so far it looks like it's gone.  What an absolutely horrid experience!!!!

Go to settings/apps and "force stop" the Microsoft launcher.

Then clear the default settings further down the page for the app.

After that the "uninstall" option appears.
