how do I remove Microsoft Launcher from my phone

I decided to respond to an email and sync my phone to 10.  After downloading, ti presented one program after another to download and will not accept a refusal and it keeps showing me ads.  I want my old control system back.  I cannot erase Microsoft launcher but I did deactivate it.  That has helped some. I have trouble getting the home page to have what I need on it and I have difficulty using it as a phone now at times although deactivating it did help this. Can I go back to my old management system on my galaxy 6?

    photo companion has completely screwed my WileyFox android. I need to retore my phone to what it was before, so I need MS to make the uninstall link in application manager available, after that I hope all will be as before.

    Go to settings, apps and notifications, advanced, default apps, and select the pixel launcher as default. Then you can go back and uninstall microsoft launcher.

    I agree !!! Hopefully I have unenstalled Microsoft Launcher from my android. I am loosing all faith in Microsoft products it all seems to have gone off the rails since Windows XP and  Windows 7

    I FOUND THE ANSWER!!!!!

    I have a GALAXY S7 Active so it is a bit different than the Note 8 as mentioned.  

    Select the following:

    >SETTINGS 

    >APPLICATIONS

    >select the pull down menu from the THREE DOTS

    >RESET APP PREFERENCES

    >now you can select MICROSOFT LAUNCHER 

    >UNINSTALL will now be available

    >select TOUCHWIZ HOME

    tada!!!

    Microsoft launcher was not bad, but I could never get notifications properly when texts, mail etc came through.
