I did what Kerila said on 11/15/2017. I went to the play store and looked up launcher. You can easily UNINSTALL from there. I had to turn off the phone and turn it on, but so far it looks like it's gone. What an absolutely horrid experience!!!!
how do I remove Microsoft Launcher from my phone
I decided to respond to an email and sync my phone to 10. After downloading, ti presented one program after another to download and will not accept a refusal and it keeps showing me ads. I want my old control system back. I cannot erase Microsoft launcher but I did deactivate it. That has helped some. I have trouble getting the home page to have what I need on it and I have difficulty using it as a phone now at times although deactivating it did help this. Can I go back to my old management system on my galaxy 6?

Took a while to find:
Go to 'Settings' then 'Apps'
click on the three little dots at the top right of the screen
select 'Default apps'
select 'Home screen'
switch from the microsoft one to your normal option (eg Samsung Experience Home)
press the 'home button' to confirm the change
after this you can uninstall the microsoft launcher app
you will need to manually change your wallpaper/theme back to whatever you want

2018-03-19T11:30:48+00:00 This is the answer! This website shows ypu how to change the launcher wizard back to the default
https://m.androidcentral.com/how-switch-another-launcher-and-back-again-samsung-galaxy-s7
You can then go into apps and the Microsoft Launcher uninstall button is clickable.
Phew!

2017-11-18T20:08:06+00:00 I have an S8 - there are no three dots showing. Forced Stop works for about 10 seconds then becomes active again, and Uninstall does not work at all.
