Bluetooth Keyboard PIN

Split from this thread.

I am having the same issue; namely, when I try to pair my keyboard (to a Win10 Mobile device) it sees the keyboard (Listing it as a "Bluetooth 3.0 Keyboard, Input") as available to pair.   When I touch on the keyboard to pair and it asks for the pin.  I do not know the PIN and there is no default PIN for the device.  (I attempted to pair the Keyboard to an Android device, the Android device generated a new PIN and I entered that and it works with that device).

It appears that I need to wipe out the Win10 device's previous association with the BT keyboard so that I can start the pairing process again, but I cannot find any documentation on how to do that.

I found solution for my keyboard... When it pops out to put PIN just tipe 4 digit number and click connect and then press the same 4 digit PIN code on your bluetooth keyboard and press enter/return

Hope you found it useful. Please let me know.

Thank you very much for your support, my keyboard is Brand Genius LuxePad 9100 and the indications you comment worked.

Previously, to connect my keyboard when adding bluetooh devices, I had to wait for an 8-digit code to be displayed on the screen and I had to type this code on the Genius keyboard to match it.

I don't know why at some point the 8-digit code was no longer displayed on the screen and could not be set.

Now with the solution that you tell me, just look for the device, then when you ask for the pairing code you have to enter the sequence 1234 on your computer and at the same time on the keyboard the same sequence 1234 and ready to work perfection.

    Greetings from Quito - Ecuador.

That totally worked! How utterly obscure and counterintuitive, but it works. Thanks for helping me not waste more time than I already have!

That is the answer I've been looking for, for 2 days now.

I was trying to connect a Bluetooth scanner. It was connected and then for some reason dropped. Instead of giving me a pin number, to which I would scan barcodes to match, it was asking me for a pin. The message is so ambiguous, I would never have figured that out, without reading your solution

    Thumbs up
