This update has failed 21 times+. I have run trouble shooter and it is green.

Everything looks good until after the reboot. Stuck in a bad loop.

Event log:

Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0x80070BC2: 2018-01 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1709 for x64-based Systems (KB4056892).

Any help would be appreciated.

PLEASE FIX THIS.  This update has failed over 20 times.

Surely at least one Microsoft employee is smart enough to fix this problem.  A simple call to any of the people suffering from the problem would allow this one employee to see what's wrong.

EXTREMELY UNHAPPY.

Hi

open CMD as administrator, an type one by one:

SC config wuauserv start= auto [Press Enter]

SC config bits start= auto [Press Enter]

SC config cryptsvc start= auto [Press Enter]

SC config trustedinstaller start= auto [Press Enter]

reboot system

Hope this helps!

    Laura,

    One last thing...

I just noticed Microsoft issue an update yesterday (Tues Apr 10).  Have you checked to see it installed on your computer?  If it did, there's a good chance you are OK and you might want to wait another few more days before taking additional actions.

    Hope it installed.

I had finally gotten the old update to work and then the new update (KB4093112) came thru and now I am getting the same error with this new update??

    Thanks for all your help

I'm getting the same error KB4093112 will not install error 0x80070bc2. Windows update keeps stating to restart but it never installs.

I have tried all the "fixes" which are not doing darn thing except wasting my day. This update needs to be recalled or a new version sent out. It's really amazing that this hasn't been recalled yet or fixed. I wonder if this issue has been elevated to the people who can actually fix it?

    have you tried:

-uninstalling the updates and reinstalling them

    -using CMD

    -Using window powershell (admin)

this was the advice i was given by a lot of people:)

otherwise i'm sorry but i cant help
