Getting error 0x80070BC2 doing Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1709 for x64-based Systems (KB4056892)

You should ignore my Administrator attribute question.  This question was intended for user Laura.  If you are interested in it, google "standard user versus administrator user".

I'm sorry this didn't work and I know it's frustrating but you are very close.

Some quick questions:

a) Based on what you said, it sounds like everything worked as expected through step 5 above.  Specifically, the popup menu with the "Run as Administrator" option did pop up.   Correct?

b) When you move the cursor over "run as administrator" option you must LEFT click it..  If you right click, nothing happens. 

c) If you are LEFT clicking on "run as administrator" option, can you describe exactly what happens after the left click?

d) And finally, do you know if your logon account has the Administrator attribute?

what do you mean by administrator attribute?

To access the Command Prompt in Windows 10, do the following:

1. Move your cursor to the white space in the lower left hand corner where it says "type here to search"  (this is next to the Windows Start button;
2. Type the letters "CMD" (without quotes) in the search area BUT DO NOT hit the enter/return key;
3. Somewhere in the popup window that results should be words "Command Prompt";
4. Move your cursor over the words "command prompt" and Right Click;
5. Another little popup menu should display and one of the options should be "Run as Administrator".
6. Move your cursor over this option and LEFT Click;
7. A "User Access Control" popup will display.  LEFT Click on YES.
8. Finally, a Command Prompt window running as Administrator should be created as a result.

If this doesn't work then there is an additional problem with your system.  If you provide the exact step that fails (and how), someone may be able to help address the issue.

hey i did all this too but when i type reboot and hit enter this happend?

Are you left or right clicking on the Command Prompt?

It will run with left click but to run as administrator you have to right click on Command Prompt and then select Run as administrator

I have right clicked on the Command Prompt, but it does nothing?

this has become so frustrating.

are you on the admin account of the laptop? make sure u are then try it again
